A message posted by Adidas Soccer on their social media accounts read, “prepare to dance to their beat” a fair warning to rivals and fans alike who by now are very used to seeing the Cafeteros showcase their signature moves on the pitch after each goal scored.
Inspired by some of Colombia’s very first jerseys of the 1940s the new Copa America Centenario jerseys will be all white with navy blue and red accent lines and a splash of yellow found on the team’s federation logo.
The team will also wear the more familiar jersey design a red and yellow stripes across the chest and an inverted dark blue color instead of the familiar bright yellow we are all used to seeing this season.
According to Colombian soccer aficionados, white was a common color for the team’s home games, while in the 70s and 80s white was used for away games.
Hosted by the US Soccer, the Copa America Centenario tournament will be played this summer from June 3rd through the 26th at various stadiums throughout the United States including California, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Florida and New York to name a few.
Colombia and the USMNT are set to kick-off the tournament with the first match taking place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on June 3rd.

In a somewhat clever marketing strategy, Adidas Colombia revealed Team Colombia’s brand new home uniforms via some of the player’s social media accounts.
Players like James Rodriguez who plays for Spain’s top team Real Madrid, and Pablo Armero who plays for Italian league A.C Milan, took to their social media accounts to express their home pride in wearing the brand new team jersey.
“I’m very proud and it’s an honor to wear it,” said James Rodriguez.
Rodriguez also urged all Colombian’s to stand together in pride with the new official Team Colombia jersey for 2015.
Defender Pablo Armero wrote, ” You and I are Colombia. Together with Glee! “
The new designs come just in time for the Copa America 2015 tournament in Chile which starts next June as well as all the qualifying tournaments leading up to the Russia 2018 World Cup.
The new shirts feature the classic bright yellow background similar to the uniforms used in the 2014 Brazil World Cup but with a rounder navy blue collar and two buttons.
The Adidas standard stripes also in navy outline the shoulder portion of the jersey with it’s traditional logo on the left side.
The front of the jersey has a subtle faded imprint of the Colombian flag while the sleeves are cuffed with three stripes in yellow, navy and red which creates the Colombian flag.
Colombia’s Futbol Federation logo adorns the left top portion of the jersey and embellishing the bottom of the shirt is a contrasting thicker navy blue stripe.
Unchanged is the back of the collar with Team Colombia’s motto “Unidos Por Un Pais” or “United for one country” poetically meaning they play and stand united as one for their country of Colombia.

Looking to score big with American Travelers the country of Ecuador changes their tourism game plan by raising the stakes and advertising their new travel slogan “All You Need is Ecuador” during the Super Bowl’s half-time show making them the very first foreign country to advertise during the game.
The 30-second spot set to the tune of “All You Need is Love,” by the Beatles, highlights images of Ecuador’s most beautiful beaches and countryside.
The small nation with just over 15.7 million people, spent $3.8 million on the ad which is part of the “All You Need is Ecuador” travel campaign specifically aimed at Americans.
Here’s the ad in case you missed it:
In an interview with Yahoo Travel, Ecuador’s ambassador to the United States, Nathalie Cely said, “Tourism in Ecuador has grown 4 percent a year for the past 10 years, and the country wants to double that over the next five.”
The Country says that if they get a 1 percent growth on U.S visitors to Ecuador it will cover the money spent on the pricey ad.
Ecuador is popular among Americans who tend to travel to specific destinations such as the Galapagos Islands, the Montañita town for it’s world-famous beach resorts, and the small city of Baños which lies at the foot of the active volcano Tungurahua.
But with the already high number of American travelers who make their way to Ecuador year after year, Ecuadorian travel officials say they are looking to highlight more than the famous archipelago or the whitewater rafting adventures on the Amazon river by promoting other famous attractions such as Quito‘s urban life, Cuenca‘s colonial charm and more of the beautiful Ecuadorian rainforest.
“We’re going to try very hard to tell the world in 30-seconds what Ecuador is all about and how unique a proposition it is for Americans to visit,” Cely said.

With the close of the soccer transfer season upon us, the final episode of the soap opera surrounding Monaco’s striker Radamel Falcao Garcia reached a strange and interesting twist on the ‘Twittersphere’ leaving many fans scratching their heads in confusion.
It was “the” moment Falcao fans had been waiting for since the striker returned to the pitch following a knee injury earlier this year.
Shortly after 7pm on Saturday people closely following @Falcao on Twitter swore they saw a Tweet on their feed from the soccer star where it put to rest all speculation in regards to his transfer out Monaco.
The tweet read “Dream come true” both in Spanish and English with the hashtag #HalaMadrid, a chant associated with Real Madrid fans meaning “Go Madrid.”
The unofficial news spread like wildfire among Real Madrid fans boasting with glee to their rival counterparts from teams like Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal, who were also eagerly awaiting news of a Falcao transfer to their respective teams.
However in a strange turn of events, the message that supposedly Falcao posted on his timeline disappeared from view within minutes.
Jubilant re-tweets and messages from fans quickly turned into angry rants leaving @Falcao followers in a state of shock and disbelief.
As twitter lit-up, television and print media quickly began reporting about the mysterious message. Was Falcao’s Twitter account hacked? or was he prematurely celebrating his long awaited transfer to Europe’s Champion team.
In an effort to put the rumor to rest Falcao took to his Twitter account several hours later to deny the message was his. He wrote, “I have to refute the story about a tweet that I did not post and that it’s a photo montage.”
With fan emotions on high gear about his much awaited transfer, it’s easy to understand why fans would get worked up over a Twitter message.
On Friday a sports reporter from BeIN Sports reported that sources close to the player confirmed Falcao’s had agreed to join the Real Madrid on a loand deal, but details were still sketchy.
Then earlier on Saturday the player who was expected to start in a match against Lillie, was suddenly dropped from Monaco’s starting line-up. He Instead watched the game from the stands with his agent Jorge Mendes and sporting director Vadim Vasilyev to his side, feeding into the speculation that his transfer is imminent.

Colombian Soccer star James Rodriguez is making headlines by stripping down to his very own line of designer underwear.
The Real Madrid striker who recently signed a 6-year contract worth $107 million, launched to super-soccer-stardom this summer during the World Cup where he was awarded the Adidas Golden Boot for being the top scorer of the tournament, outscoring stars like Messi and Neymar.
His enhanced international exposure has turned the James Rodriguez brand into a marketing goldmine in his home country. Rodriguez currently holds deals with top shampoo and deodorant brands, Nestle, Adidas and even has his own energy drink Gold 10.
Much like his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, the player is now venturing into the fashion world and lending his name to Colombian fashion brand Bronzini Black. His first line of men’s underwear appropriately labeled “J10 James”, stands for his initial and the number he wears on his Real Madrid jersey.
The J10 James collection includes briefs, boxer, pajamas, tank tops and T-shirts available for men and boys, and will be released in Colombia starting August 29th.
The brand also released this exclusive behind the scenes video that was taped during the 5-hour photo shoot where the soccer star is seen modeling and showing off his skills with the soccer ball…impressive!

Thanks to social media the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge movement has now gone viral in the U.S thanks to Pete Frates, a Boston College baseball player diagnosed with ALS in 2012, who helped the challenge gain momentum earlier this Summer after he began challenging others to donate via his Facebook page
From everyday people to celebrities, to athletes, and even world leaders the silly but very significant trend is also making waves across Europe. Joining the challenge this past week were some of Europe’s sexiest soccer hunks, here are my Top 5, let’s hope they all made a donation too!
1. Cristiano Ronaldo: Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo who plays for Real Madrid scored the top spot on this list due to his clever move to complete his challenge in nothing but his underwear! The striker who usually models his line of CR7 underwear, was challenged by Manchester United’s Darren Fletcher. Nicely done Cristiano!
2. Lionel Messi: Also scoring big by taking the challenge in his briefs and a tight sleeveless tee is Argentinian player Leo Messi who plays for FC Barcelona. Messi completed his challenge inside the team’s shower room, and although the echo distorted the audio a bit, Messi says he was challenged by fellow teammate Dani Alves.
3. Falcao Garcia: Standing on his patio high above one of Montecarlo’s marinas is Colombian striker Radamel Falcao Garcia. Falcao (or El Tigre as he is known) plays for AS Monaco and accepted the challenge from fellow Colombian singers Carlos Vives and Maluma.
4. Marcelo Viera: Real Madrid’s Marcelo Viera, was challenged by Canadian soccer star Kaylyn Kyle. The player got a little help from teammate Cristiano Ronaldo who made his second appearance of the day in his blue CR7 underwear. Hey no complaints here!
5. Gerard Pique (and Shakira): Rounding off the top 5 list is Barcelona’s defender Gerard Pique who first helped his long-time girlfriend Shakira complete her challenge set by Brazilian model Giselle Bundchen. The task however got trickier for the Colombian singer when she had to pour the ice water over Pique, who was challenged by former Manchester United teammate Wes Brown. Very funny!
According to the ALS Association the Ice Bucket Challenge has now help raise well over $70 million in donations for the debilitating aliment known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease that affects nerve cells in the brain.

Through the many victories and challenges of the season emerged one of his most memorable highlights of the year, the birth of his first daughter Dominique.
On August 13 both Falcao and his wife took to their social networks to celebrate and share with their legion of followers a very special message dedicated to their baby daughter on her first birthday.
“Happy Birthday my dear child, we love you with all our heart.” Falcao wrote on his post.
His message got well over 1.5k “likes” on Twitter which included an Instagram picture of little Dominique at the beach sporting a very stylish bathing suit by Colombian high-end swimsuit designers OndadeMar.
Shortly after Falcao’s message was published, Lorelei posted her very own message on Instagram that read,
“Today our little princess Domi turns one. Her smile…her charm brings us so much joy every single day motivating us wholly. Her tenderness…her kisses transforms us and fills our hearts with joy.”
Taron who is a devout Evangelical Christian along with her husband, continued her post by explaining the special meaning behind their daughter’s name.
“We named her Dominique because it means “the one who belongs to God.” God has given us the privilege of having Domi so we can educate her, giver her our love and teach her to follow the right path so that she may grow to be wise and love God above all. It is our biggest wish to be the best parents, thank you princess for teaching us so much every day. We don’t have words to explain how much we love you.”
Earlier in the day Lorelei and Dominique visited a local party store and stocked up items for the tot’s birthday bash.
The proud momma later shared this picture of the family at Dominique’s birthday party while she and Falcao gave their little princess a big birthday smooch on her cheeks-the caption on her post reading….”Kiss, Kiss.”
Happy first birthday to Dominique!
It seems like it was only yesterday when Falcao dropped the news of his wife’s pregnancy by posting a picture on April 12, 2013 of himself kissing the mom-to-be’s baby bump.
Through the nine-months the joyful couple kept busy on social media by sharing with their fans their latest happenings from Falcao’s Copa del Rey title win in May, to their big move to Monaco, family vacation in Miami, and of course Dominique’s birth. Click on the gallery to watch more of baby Domi’s first year.

Soccer sensation Radamel Falcao returned to AS Monaco’s starting line-up on Sunday.
He marked his highly anticipated comeback from the injured list with a winning goal against London’s Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.
Falcao scored his last goal on January 22 during a French Cup match against Chasselay where he drastically injured his left knee. The injury kept him in rehab for the past six-months crashing his hopes to join his national team in the World Cup.
In the match against Valencia on Saturday, Falcao entered the game as a substitute in the second-half where he played close to 20 minutes. The game ended in a draw after teammate Lucas Ocampos scored a goal to even out the score.
Pleased with his performance on Saturday, Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim felt confident to return him to his usual post in the starting line-up in their final Emirates Cup match.
“I’m very happy with his return and very satisfied that he scored a goal that gave us the win,” said Jardim in a press conference.
Following his comeback goal fans and media outlets took to social media to express reaction and overall joy over Falcao’s memorable return to the game.
The Colombian striker played a total of 58 minutes and netted a powerful header to give Monaco a victory over favorite to win Arsenal in their final pre-season friendly before opening the French Ligue 1 campaign at home against Lorient next Sunday.

Colombian international soccer star Radamel Falcao Garcia made his long awaited return to the pitch at the Emerites Cup in London Saturday.
The 28 year-old striker from soccer club AS Monaco made his first appearance in today’s friendly match against Valencia as a second-half substitue.
Falcao who has been out of the game for the past six-months ruptured his left-knee ligament earlier this year. The injury kept him from taking part in his home country’s World Cup campaign where Colombia made history by reaching the quarter-finals.
Greeted by a resounding cheer from the crowd el Tigre (The Tiger as he is known) entered the pitch during the last 18 minutes of the match when Monaco was trailing Valencia 2-1.
Falcao was sharp as always and played agressively but didn’t get a chance to score a goal. Instead his teammate, substitute, Lucas Ocampos evened out the score 10 minutes before the end of the match.
Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim was pleased with Falcao’s performance and anticipates he will be part of the starting line up in tomorrow’s match against Arsenal.
Shortly after the match Falcao took to Twitter to simply express his gratitude to his wife, daughter and fans and added a psalm entry to express his deep emotion. His message read:
“Thanks to God for consoling me and giving me encouragement over the last six months. (Psalm 86:11) Thank you Lore (his wife Lorelei) for putting up with me over these 193 days when I was unbearable to handle. Thanks to my daughter, your smile makes me forget my sadness. Thank you everyone for your simple messages of encouragement.”
Falcao also spoke exclusevly with AS MonacoTV and said following:
“Following a long absence from the game, and going through a very difficult situation it’s overwhelming to be able to return. Just before I entered the pitch lots of things went through my head, but I tried to enjoy every minute even though it was just a couple of minutes of play. I thank everyone who came out, the Arsenal fans who were present at Emirates Stadium and cheered me on when I entered the pitch. It brings me great joy to know people recognize the work I do and are happy with my return to soccer.”

43-year old fitness entrepreneur, Christopher Renzi filed a complaint in Rhode Island federal court against JBS Textile Group from Denmark. The complaint seeks a formal declaration from the court stating he is the sole owner of the trademark CR7 and not JBS.
The two letter and number combination which represents Ronaldo’s name and the number on his Real Madrid jersey, also stands for Renzi’s initials and his birthday which coincidentally is October 7th.
Renzi states in the complaint, he registered the moniker “CR7” in 2009 and has used it on several clothing items, a website and a workout video.
JBS on the other hand states on a separate complaint, they hold the exclusive worldwide license rights to market Ronaldo’s CR7 line, and say Renzi’s trademark of CR7, was used to profit from the soccer star’s fame.
Renzi insists his line was registered first and was used in commerce in the United States first. “It’s really based on who’s using it first. We can show we were the first use of the CR7 name,” Renzi told the New York Post.
Ronaldo who is currently on a tour with his team in the United States has been very active on all his social media platforms promoting his line and has not commented on the lawsuit.
CR7 underwear and socks for men and boys are marketed and sold JBS Textiles in Europe and plan to launch the line in the U.S later this year.
